APS-3: Sr. HR Business Partner
Title: APS-3: Sr. HR Business PartnerBelong, Connect, Grow, with KBR! Program Summary KBR will sustain the operational well-being of Charleston, SC APS-3 site. The KBR APS-3 Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Armys power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that unit sets stored aboard marine vessels are configured and maintained at optimal readiness. KBR provides limited maintenance and supply support aboard ship to ensure that equipment sets are maintained in a ready condition for emergency download and issue to operating units at the direction of the US Army. Our services encompass program management, civil engineering, morale and recreation support, postal operations, safety services, logistics, and more. With a five-year base period and three one-year options, KBR ensures these bases operate smoothly, allowing deployed personnel to focus on mission execution. Position Summary
This position will provide support on a broad range of human resources services in partnership with business objectives and human resource initiatives.You will be responsible for the following key activities: Provides a wide range of human resource services to an assigned business unit in support of the unit's business objectives, strategic goals, and human resource initiatives. Performs diverse assignments covering a broad area of HR functions (i.e. employee/labor relations, staffing, compensation management, affirmative action, organization development, and training). Serves as the business unit's primary interface between managers, employees, outside agencies and others concerning HR related issues. Interprets and executes corporate policies and practices across the work-force to ensure consistent and equitable treatment. Assists with defining short/long term HR initiatives in support of business unit's strategic objectives. Participates in identifying and developing employee skills to support business needs, counsels and coach employees, supervisors, and senior management in addressing interpersonal and behavioral challenges. Serves as the investigative resource, coordinating with legal counsel, on issues pertaining to employment charges or litigation. Conducts training sessions on various subject areas (performance management, discipline, ethics). Prepares reports to ensure conformance with legislated requirements.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Demonstrated capability to assimilate data and information quickly, and work with complex briefs in a short timescale Demonstrated experience of working with cross functional teams to lead successful business growth and value. Demonstrated experience in employment and labor law A high degree of cultural sensitivity, demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi-cultural and business teams, preferably within a large global business Demonstrated experience of supporting HR change management programs to support business initiatives and change. Demonstrated experience of using HR data systems most specifically Workday and Deltek/Costpoint. Proven Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, high impact communication style. Demonstrated flexibility of approach and ability to work in a multi-functional, multi-cultural team environment Excellent organization and project management skills Proven track record of influencing skills and decision making to deliver HR support and services in a complex matrix environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Emphasis in HR Management Studies Human Resources Certification Ability to get and/or obtain NAC-I and Security Clearance
Education/Experience: University degree or recognized equivalent, Human Resources accreditation preferred.
